Chapter 2, Part 6: Oh, That Cutie!

The bell rang, and It was recess time, and we all left the classroom to get something to eat and get a mini-break.

Maria and Melly were among the first to leave the class.
I decided to stay back for a couple of minutes to tidy up my desk.
John stood by my desk and decided to wait for me.

I smiled and said, ‘thank you!”

“Hey, no worries, what’s a couple of extra minutes for you?” he smiled.

We walked out of the classroom together.

“You know Sarah, I saw you by the foyer early in the morning!”
“Oh, really? Then why didn’t you come up to say hi?”

“My mistake, I should have, nevertheless, here you are now!”
I could feel my whole face become warm, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

“Yeah, here you are too!” I mumbled.

He continued speaking,
“I was a little upset that I realized that I wasn’t in your class.”

“Can I tell you a little secret?” I whispered.

“Yes, please, Sarah, you may tell me anything.”

“I was a little upset too!” I blushed, even more, the minute I said it.

I saw Melly and Maria walking right toward me.
Melly shouted from a distant,
“Hey, Sarah! What took you so long to come down?”

John and I looked at each other the minute we heard that question. I smiled at him and turned my head to look at Melly.

“Because Sarah was busy playing with me!” He smirked.
I looked directly at him and wondered what the hell did he just say?

Melly laughed so loudly. Maria scoffed at us.

“John! Oh, come on!” I screamed directly at him.
He laughed.

“The girls are not going to let me go! All thanks to you!”
John laughed even louder.

“What is going on between the both of you?”
There was a pause, and Melly continued,
“Yeah, both of you are behaving, like a couple of love birds.”

John asked Melly, while raising an eyebrow
“What do you mean? Like chemistry?”

“Yeah, I think there’s something about her!”

I turned my head to look at John directly and blushed again.
“I literally have nothing to say to you!”

Then, I whispered into his ears,
“Looks like I better join the girls before you say something else to embarrass me even more.”

Just as I was about to walk away, he held on to my wrist tightly and whispered: “Don’t you dare!”

He pulled me right back toward his chest and gave me the tightest hug.

The only thing I could think about was the fact that he really smelled so good.
We were so close to each other, and my hands were twitching to hug him right back.

I realized that this was my chance. I hugged him right back.

I mumbled to myself, “looks like we both want more!”
I smiled.
